Her father was a mighty human warrior who had yet to be tamed and her mother was someone who had been romanced by him and gotten knocked up. Much to her mother's dismay, Blaire was born and she was born healthy. It became clear to many that Blaire wasn't born into the most loving of households when she started bullying the other children in the village, her fair hair began to become a tangled mess, and she was allowed to run amuck and terrorize the elderly.
Eventually, Blaire's mother gave up on the little hellion and deposited the little tornado at her grandparent's house, where she was taught to be more ladylike. There was something about the gentle soul that her grandmother possessed that calmed her down a tad. She flourished under her grandmother's guidance and was informed by her grandfather of the various parts of Fantasia's history and how humankind were viewed. At this point, Blaire saw herself as your run-of-the-mill human, and got slightly infuriated with the various other races and their superiority complexes, forming a distinct distaste for the other more monstrous races and, more specifically, all of elf kind.
It wasn't until she was a teen that she discovered her affinity for weaponry and began to learn from her father. He taught her how to use weapons and how to kill various creatures that tended to threaten human kind, only to end up crafting a pink-haired teen who had a thirst for the blood of non-humans. Thankfully, Blaire had a few friends who were able to calm the swelling rage. These friends were also the ones that got into trouble and introduced her to her previously-hidden ability to morph weapons from simple metal objects. If she hadn't been able to do so, they'd have all died.
Soon after learning of her ability and the lack of someone to teach her to use it, the nearly-twenty-year-old decided Avalon Academy was her only option. She didn't really want to risk running into a bunch of people who thought she was inferior, but her friends again silenced her worries. It was actually quite easy. "Don't worry, Cavanaugh! You can cream all their sorry behinds!" She went into Avalon with a vision of equality for human kind and doesn't anticipate that changing any time soon.POWERMetal transmogrification
A mere candlestick can morph into a weapon under Blaire's guidance, and to be honest, that's the only kind of transmogrification she cares about. Blaire is able to turn most metal objects into usable weapons, provided she can physically lift them. The weapons can only be used by her own hand and will deteriorate when held by someone else.
The morphed object retains its original amount of matter and many of its original characteristics, it just changes shape.OOCtrinityFINAL FANTASY XIV, lightning farron
